Frequently Asked Questions

About ReadiSorb Glutathione

Q. What is it? A capsule? Liquid? A pill? Powder?
A. It is a liquid that is sold as a dietary supplement and is meant to be taken orally. See the next question.

Q. How should I take ReadiSorb Glutathione?
A. Many people take it straight. Others prefer to mix it in a liquid, with orange juice being the most popular choice. It is best to take it in the morning on an empty stomach. If possible, wait 15 or 20 minutes before eating.

Q. What is the source of the glycerin used in the product?
A. The glycerin is derived from palm fruit oil.

Q. What is the source of the lecithin?
A. The lecithin is derived from oil, not protein, extracted from soy. There is a small, but possible, chance of reaction. People with acute reactions to soy should be cautious using this product.

Q. Do you use the preservative sodium benzoate in your products?
A. We have never used sodium benzoate. As recently at September, 2007, the British medical journal The Lancet reviewed a study done on the behavior of children after consuming products with food coloring and sodium benzoate. “The finding lends strong support for the case that food additives exacerbate hyperactive behaviors (inattention, impulsivity and overactivity) at least into middle childhood.”

In May, 2007, concern over sodium benzoate resurfaced. Professor Peter Piper of Sheffield University (UK) has studied this additive since 1999 and recently told the Independent newspaper in the UK: "These chemicals have the ability to cause severe damage to DNA in the mitochondria to the point that they totally inactivate it: they knock it out altogether." Because of these health concerns, we choose not to use sodium benzoate in our products.

Q. Why does it smell like sulfur?
A. Glutathione contains sulfur. The sulfur is the reason it is so powerful in binding toxins. In a way it's the secret to glutathione's function and success. The liposome encapsulation reduces the sulfur aroma somewhat. Simply inverting the container a couple of times before ingesting is adequate.

Q. I am on the Feingold Program. Is your product allowed?
A. Yes, we are acceptable for use on the Feingold Program.

Q. Can I use ReadiSorb Glutathione in a nebulizer?
A. No, this product is only meant to be taken orally.

Q. Are there any side effects?
A. We have no reports of serious side effects. Some people are extremely sensitive to any new substance that is introduced to their system. These people should start with a smaller dose. When in doubt, start "low and slow".

Q. Can I keep it in the refrigerator? How should I store it?
A. Yes, you may keep it in the refrigerator, but room temperature is best. Keep it out of direct sunlight, away from oven heat and heaters. If your room is not comfortable to you, keep it in the refrigerator. The coloration may change when it is kept in the refrigerator.

Q. Are any animal products used in ReadiSorb Glutathione
A. There are NO animal products used in ReadiSorb Glutathione.

About ReadiSorb MethylB12 Spray

Q. Is this the ‘good’ form of B12?
A. Yes, we use methylcobalamin in our spray. Cobalamin functions as a source of a methyl group (a carbon molecule) for a very important biochemical cycle known as the methylation cycle. In order to do this, cobalamins must be converted to the methyl donating form called methylcobalamin. Methylcobalamin is the “active” form of cobalamins.

Q. Is it alright to use more than one spray?
A. Yes, see our science page on MethylB12.
